Prizes
The Face of Zimbabwe competition is designed to make all finalists emerge from the contest as winners. Entering the competition will launch modelling careers for most of the contestants. The competition’s huge following will give our contestants national prominence and worldwide opportunities. The winner of this competition is truly representative of the people since she is selected by the Zimbabwean public.
Several prizes will be awarded to the 12 finalists and the competition’s ultimate winner. These prizes are subject to change at the discretion of the Trust;
Cash Prizes
The ultimate winner will receive a cash prize of $1000.00. This will be released at a date to be announced by the Board of Trustees. Monthly finalist who show commitment to charitable activities during the year will be awarded bonuses which will be determined by the Trustee.
Tourism Ambassadors
The winning contestants are expected to become the country’s Tourism ambassadors officially or unofficially. This will be in the contestant’s country of residence. In some cases, this may involve the fulfilment of national duties and travel to and from Zimbabwe where required.
2012 Calendar
All the 12 finalists will appear in Zimbabwe’s official 2012 Calendar with each finalist being featured in the month in which they were selected. The ultimate Face of Zimbabwe will be the cover girl of the calendar.
The highly anticipated 2012 calendar will be the first of its kind and will be produced in liaison with relevant authorities in Zimbabwe to market the country abroad. The calendar is expected to be sold and marketed in Zimbabwe and the world over. The calendar will also be available for sell online, with part of the proceeds going to charity.
Entry into International Pageants
The winner of the FOZ competition will be entered into international pageants and contests such as Face of Africa and Miss Top Model of the World among others. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to select any of the 12 finalists who may be viewed as good candidates for particular contests. Preference will however be given to the ultimate winner.
Magazine Cover
The winner of Face of Zimbabwe 2012 will feature on the cover of two Zimbabwean magazine one of which is for the national airline which entails considerable international exposure. The 12 finalists will also feature in the magazine at the discretion of the Trust and the Magazine Publishers.
Product Endorsements and Advertising
It is expected that some of the finalists will feature in several product endorsements for Zimbabwean companies. This means that some of the finalists will feature is large advertising campaigns in Zimbabwe which may include billboard advertising and product endorsements. The advertisers have the option to choose any of the 12 finalists they prefer to work with.
Holiday to Zimbabwe
The Face of Zimbabwe winner will benefit from a 7 day trip to a tourist destination in Zimbabwe. The destination is pre-selected by the Trustees in conjunction with Tourism operators in Zimbabwe.
